And so that giant heaping pile of horse-poo that was Jindal's cringe-inducing speech was built on at least a couple of falsehoods:
Jindal's version: Vegas to Disneyland high-speed rail an example of pork-barrel spending
What's really the case: No, $8 bn is allotted to several high-speed rail projects in development around the country, not any particular one. http://mediamatters.org/items/200902180010?f=s_search
Jindal's version: Jindal & Sheriff Harry Lee together bucked the bureaucrats who would've stopped rescue boats from reaching people stranded by Katrina
